Last Thursday, Ice Force competed in the GLL Apex North American Community Cup. DrSolraco and RyanMing_ came in from the cold to join IItzSpaceman and make a splash in the competitive pool. It was only our first week with this new lineup, and we secured second place with a total score of 67 points. A fantastic entrance like this is sure to bode well for IFE’s future. In addition, a patch for Apex Legends was issued on the same day. It cleaned up some bugs, and Valkyrie was nerfed. She can no longer hover at a reduced fuel cost, which should prevent Valkyrie players from evading enemies in a closing ring with little opportunity cost to themselves. This change will make Valkyrie a bit worse at hiding, but her kit remains powerful in a variety of situations.
